Devon Fisher,Catching Instructor

I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to play in the MLB and set my sights on it. I have been very blessed to be surrounded by great teachers and mentors of the game from age 5. Phil Kojack became my private pitching/hitting coach at age 10 before I even enrolled at Greenbrier Christian Academy as a student athlete. He has been by my side ever since. I committed to play baseball at UVA should my ultimate dream of being drafted out of high school not come. I finished my high school career at Western Branch High School where we won the 6A Va State Championship. I was drafted by the Boston Red Sox as a catcher right before we won states. Just this last season they converted me to a pitcher so I will be returning to them in February to see if that is actually my dream to become a full time pitcher. I feel that if this is where God wants me, then that is where I will continue to play and succeed.

"There is just nothing like watching a kid, that I know I had an impact on, make it somewhere in life. Yeah, that is why I am so passionate about what we are trying to accomplish here."

- Coach Doug

"My favorite part of instructing is bringing kids into their full talent potential as numerous kids have moved on to play either college baseball or high school baseball."

- Coach Phil
